Hay flowers (flores graminis) are by definition a mixture of flower parts, seeds and small bits of leaf and stem from a range of meadow grasses and flowers. Hay flowers have long been used for compresses in natural medicine and in baths to destress and relax. Nowadays the term “hay flowers” is commonly used in 5-star restaurants to refer to mixes of flowers that can be used in the preparation of food, e.g. on a bed of hay etc. Swiss Alpine Herbs Organic Hay Flowers are a wonderful composition made from the calyces of cornflowers, marigolds, hollyhocks and mallows, rounded off with parsley. We only use lovely, big calyces that are visually striking. They are ideal for preparing lamb, soups, bread and ham. 100% natural product.
Ingredients: Hayflowers (50% [in variable weight proportions: cornflower, marigold, malva, hollyhock]), parsley. All agricultural ingredients originate from organic farming.
