NADH = Coenzyme 1

The abbreviation NADH stands for Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide hydride. This long name is difficult to pronounce so NADH is also simply called Coenzyme 1. It is called Coenzyme because NADH is enmeshed with other similar substances in the respiratory cycle.

NADH occurs in every plant, animal and human cell. It is a completely natural molecule, which we readily absorb from our food.

Works in the mitochondria

The mitochondria in the cells supply the body with energy. In these mitochondria, the NADH reacts with the oxygen we absorb whilst breathing. The universal energy molecule ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which occurs in every cell, is produced in the mitochondria in each cell and serves as the energy carrier and energy storage for the body. In this way, NADH is involved in countless metabolic processes.

Like a small battery

ATP can be thought of as a small battery. The molecule is constantly “consumed” and recharged. Our cells produce roughly our body weight of ATP, every day! The recovery and storage of energy is a central metabolic process that cannot work without NADH. Consequently, NADH has an important physiological function in the human respiratory cycle.

Stabilized NADH

The NADH in NADH Vida is extracted from brewer’s yeast and then stabilized. Our product contains a stabilized and scientifically proven form of NADH from a patented manufacturing process. Without effective protection, NADH is unstable and decays rapidly. If stabilization is omitted, no NADH will be found in the product after a few months.

Analysis by an independent testing laboratory dated 7/31/2020 shows that the NADH content in NADH Vida is guaranteed (go to analysis). On 12/23/2020, we commissioned a new analysis, which also shows positive results (to the analysis).

On the other hand, a comparative analysis of 31.7.2020 of another product, which even has a longer expiration date, shows that already 3 years before the expiration date only half of the NADH can be found in the tablets (to the analysis). We also commissioned this analysis again on 12/23/2020. At this time, the NADH was already below the detection limit (to the analysis).

Important: Origin of the NADH from the EU

We obtain high-quality raw material for our NADH Vida from the EU, of course in food grade. However, there are manufacturers who use raw material from Asia (e.g. China), these products are cheaper, but unfortunately the quality leaves much to be desired. The suppliers from Asia do not offer any proof that their raw material is food grade.

NADH Vida contains 20 ?g Biotin per tablet. Biotin contributes to a normal energy metabolism.
